Basic Obedience Training for Dogs, Group Classes | Taming the Wild - Memphis, TN

Training on your schedule

Don’t have time to commit to standard group classes, but you want to keep up with your dog’s training? We offer no commitment, ongoing basic obedience group classes that meet twice a week at our indoor training facility for dogs over the age of 16 weeks.

Behaviors taught by our professional trainers will vary each week, but will include: Heel (walk beside you without pulling), Sit, Down, Stay, Place (multi-hour stay), Leash Up, No Jumping, Quiet upon command, and other behaviors that make owning a dog a joy. In addition to training, your dog will have the opportunity to learn canine social practices and acquire the ability to perform all behaviors taught in the presence of dogs and human distractors.

This class is designed for dog owners, fosters, new adopters, or anyone looking to stay active with their dogs or keep their dog socialized and balanced around a group setting.

If you are new to Taming the Wild, you are required to provide proof of your dog’s immunizations before attending your first class. It is also a good idea to show up for your first class 10 minutes early to hear instruction on equipment and general class rules.
